July 2021’s Movie Watch List with Juicy Stats

Oof. This is one late post. I usually get these on the site close to the beginning of the month and we are already… 20 days into August?!!?

Well, that is life for me. One month I’m on vacation, relaxing, posting every day. The next is so busy I can’t find the time. Well, I got a long and lazy Friday shift ahead of me today, so… better late than never!

      1. No problem.

But definitely evidence that we are at the end of the run. The goal was to keep streaming while we’re home bored on Friday nights, and that’s just not the case anymore. We’ll see what the fall brings but it seems over to me.

        1. I usually am home on Fridays. Pandemic or not, lol I think this is another calm before another wave like last summer. We’ll be back to square one once they start cramming people into buildings again.

          1. I don’t know if it’s true or not, but a heard a saying. In the stage business, when there’s more people on the stage than in the audience, you cancel the show. So that’s where I’m at now. I don’t think we will see things going back into lockdown but you never know! I should be happy right right?

            1. Maybe not everyone can be there for the live show tonight but the videos on youtube still get hits. I know I plan on watching at some point. Tonight’s episode was my idea after all, lol

              1. You won’t be disappointed that’s for sure! I have a few of my picks sorted and I hope to show you things you’ve never seen in person.

But I’m getting tired man. Every week for 18 months, this has been a hell of a ride. I do look forward to a rest. I think I’ve done what I set out to do which was to give people something to do on a Friday.

  1. Wow! You didn’t seem to like A Quiet Place II. I agree it is not as good as the first, but wasn’t fun popcorn entertainment, plus it was the first movie I saw in the theaters since pre-pandemic so I was just excited to be back in a theater with my popcorn and coke!

  2. I re-watched Contagion last year in March, about a week before we went into lockdown.

Then lockdown started and it was eerie. When our leaders started talking about social distancing and wearing masks, I was like, goddamn, it’s like the movie.
